DeSantis On Trump’s Claim He’s ‘Disloyal’: ‘We’re A Republic, We’re Not A Monarchy, It’s Nobody’s Turn’

Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis rejected former President Donald Trump’s claim that he was “disloyal” for entering the 2024 presidential race, saying that politicians are not “entitled” to support from voters. The Florida governor made the remarks late last week during an interview with Megyn Kelly when asked about Trump’s claim that DeSantis “came over and begged him for an endorsement with tears coming down from your eyes” during the 2018 Florida gubernatorial race. DeSantis laughed off the claim, saying that he met Trump out in the open on Air Force One and asked for his support and Trump agreed. “But here’s the thing, politicians have to earn support,” DeSantis said. “Nobody’s entitled to support. You know, I am loyal to my family. I am loyal to our Constitution. I am loyal to God. That is where my loyalty goes, I will work with politicians to try to advance what I believe is in the best interests of Florida and the country. But at the end of the day,

DeSantis Clarifies His Remarks About RFK Jr.: He Would Be ‘Outside’ Of Federal Agencies

Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis clarified remarks he made last week about having Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. serving in some sort of capacity monitoring federal agencies. DeSantis was asked last week during an interview with Clay Travis if he would consider tapping RFK Jr. to be his vice presidential running mate, which DeSantis immediately shot down because of RFK’s strong leftist leanings. DeSantis said that he did agree with RFK’s stance on Dr. Anthony Fauci and the corruption in the health bureaucracies and suggested that it might be good to “sic” him on those agencies. “If you’re president, you know, sic him on the FDA if he’d be willing to serve, or sic him on CDC,” DeSantis said. The media, some online pundits, and at least one other presidential candidate claimed that DeSantis suggested that he would tap RFK to lead those agencies. In a follow-up interview with Megyn Kelly, DeSantis clarified that he never suggested tapping RFK to lead any federal

Federal Judge Blocks Arkansas Ban On Librarians Giving Children ‘Harmful’ Books

A federal judge has blocked an Arkansas law that would have hit librarians with criminal charges if they provided “harmful” books to children. U.S. District Judge Timothy Brooks issued a preliminary injunction Saturday against the law. The new law would have made it a Class A misdemeanor for libraries to knowingly provide a child with any “harmful” material, punishable in Arkansas by up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500. Arkansas law defines “harmful to minors” as containing nudity or sexual content, appeals to “a prurient interest in sex to minors,” lacks “serious literary, scientific, medical, artistic, or political value for minors,” and is considered “offensive” to show to children by current community standards. The judge’s injunction said the law “would permit, if not encourage, library committees and local governmental bodies to make censorship decisions based on content or viewpoint,” violating the First Amendment. He noted that providing children wit

Chris Christie Hammers Joe Biden Over Inflation: ‘Jimmy Carter Of The 2020s’

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie slammed President Joe Biden on Sunday for the high inflation rates that have defined his presidency, saying that he is the “Jimmy Carter of the 2020s.” CNN host Kasie Hunt asked Christie if Biden deserved any credit for inflation rates slowly starting to come down after peaking at 40 year highs under his presidency. “Kasie, what he deserves credit for is the fact that everything is 17 percent more expensive today than it was when he took the oath of office on January 20 of 2021,” Christie said. “Interest rates are at one of its high — our highest level in 25 years, making it much more expensive for people to buy a home, to buy a car, to be able to invest in their business and grow it to create jobs. This guy is the Jimmy Carter of the 2020s.” “And his inflation that he created — and don’t take my word for it,” he said. “Democratic economist, former Treasury Secretary to Bill Clinton Larry Summers has said that Joe Biden created th

When People Hear ‘Bidenomics,’ They Think Higher Inflation And Tax Increases

President Joe Biden can call his economic policy whatever he wants — Bidenomics is the latest catchphrase — but a new poll shows the majority of the American people sum up the state of the economy in one or two words: “Struggling” and “Uncertain.” That’s according to a CBS News/YouGov poll taken June 26 – June 28 and surveying more than 2,000 U.S. adults. Sixty-one percent of Americans said the word “struggling” described the economy, 56% said “uncertain,” 36% said “unfair,” 27% said “punishing.” Meanwhile, just 15% said it could be described as “rebounding,” and 11% said it could be described as “expanding.” The poll also indicates that 70% of U.S. adults say that their salary is not keeping up with inflation. Meanwhile, 65% said they would rate the U.S. economy as very bad. Fifty-eight percent say that it’s getting worse. Most adults are dissatisfied with the way Biden has handled the economy. The president has a measly 34% approval rating on the economy. Folks like fo

‘Frankly Insulting’: Law Professor Slams Biden’s ‘Obnoxious Reason’ For Finally Recognizing Hunter’s Daughter

Law Professor Jonathan Turley is not letting President Joe Biden off the hook even though the president finally acknowledged his seventh grandchild — all the while blaming his neglect on Hunter’s legal battles with the child’s mother. The Bidens finally recognized their youngest granddaughter in an online article for PEOPLE Magazine at 5:00 p.m. ET on a summer Friday night right before Joe hit the beach. Here’s the statement the Bidens provided the media: “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward. This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter. Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.” That statement may have smoothed things over for Legacy Media and other Democrats, but Turley was livid in an opinion column for Fox News. “Even for those of us who merely followed this saga from

‘Faith, Family, Freedom’: NBA Star Jonathan Isaac Launches Values-Based Sports Apparel Brand

Outspoken Christian, NBA star, and Daily Wire author Jonathan Isaac launched “UNITUS” — his new sports apparel brand centered on faith, family, and freedom at a star-studded event in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday evening. Brett Cooper, host of “The Comments Section” on The Daily Wire, was on hand for a “fireside chat” with the Orlando Magic forward, discussing why he felt called to create the new company. “I do see this as something that is bigger than me. … And so for that, I have to give glory and honor to Jesus Christ,” Isaac told Cooper before asking his pastor, Durone Hepburn, to lead the audience in prayer. Cooper asked Isaac how he came up with the idea for the company — and the name. “The name UNITUS actually came from Dr. Hepburn,” Isaac said before explaining that in 2020, he was actually signed by Nike, but suffered an injury and was not re-signed to the brand. Hepburn encouraged him to start a sneaker company — which then “blossomed” into a brand to “give peopl

Voddie Baucham Discusses Biblical Justice, Masculinity On Latest ‘Sunday Special’

Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro discussed biblical justice and masculinity with Dr. Voddie Baucham, a Christian pastor and author, on the latest episode of “The Sunday Special.”   Baucham, the dean of theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia, spoke with Shapiro on the biblical view of social justice and how woke ideology has taken over some Christian churches.  “When you have weak and faulty worldviews and then seductive language, and then you have leaders with unclear voices, you end up in the mess we’re in,” Baucham told Shapiro, pointing out that many Christians did not use critical thinking when discussing terms such as “social justice.”  As Baucham explained, Christians believe in God’s justice, which is “the righteous and equal application of God’s law, but not equal outcomes.” In 2021, Baucham wrote a book dealing with the subject called “Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism’s Looming Catastrophe.” Baucham was raised

Ex-State Dept Coronavirus specialist calls recently unredacted Fauci correspondences 'a broad concealment'

Image
'The Story' dug into new Fauci reports delivered unredacted by a House board of trustees A recently unredacted message from Dr. Anthony Fauci proposing the Coronavirus pandemic might have been grounded in gain-of-capability research is confirmation positive of a broad "conceal," as per a previous State Division pandemic examiner. On Friday, Fox Reporter Martha MacCallum's group on "The Story" dug further into informing from Fauci at the idea of a previous top Coronavirus strategy official in the Trump organization, after the House Select Board on the Covid Pandemic delivered more unredacted records this week. The letter being referred to had been almost totally redacted, save for about the main line. Fauci wrote to "people" that the viral grouping found in the Covid strain contained "changes in the infection that would have been generally uncommon to have developed normally in bats," adding there had been "doubt that this transfo

Just four Dems vote with GOP to pass protection strategy bill moving back fetus removal strategy, 'woke' drives

Image
The Place of Delegates on Friday barely passed the yearly protection strategy bill, as most liberals went against the regulation that conservatives supported as a method for moving back the Biden organization's "woke" Pentagon approaches. The Public Protection Approval Act (NDAA), regularly a bipartisan bill, passed in a 219-210 vote after only four liberals casted a ballot "yes," matching the four conservatives who casted a ballot against it. Most liberals dismissed the bill because of questionable changes that would check the Pentagon's fetus removal travel repayment strategy, transsexual clinical consideration and variety, value, incorporation (DEI) programs all through the military. Leftists have charged House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., of pandering to the most safe conservatives with changes that they say are more about the "way of life battle" than about military status. Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash., the top liberal on the House Outfitted
